Wipe the gold and ivory pieces with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasives and strong cleaners; they scratch the finish.
If something needs cleaning, use a barely damp cloth and dry it at once. Do not soak any piece.
Turned wood is wiped dry. A neutral wood oil every few months keeps the colour.
Candleholders: let them cool completely before lifting out wax, and lift rather than scrape.
